Leadership Transition at MDF

As of 1 September 2025, Ingrid Plag and Mike Zuijderduijn have decided to step down from their roles as directors of the MDF Group Management Team. After many years of dedicated leadership and contributions to the growth of our organisation, they felt the need for a change in their own work and the right moment to make space for fresh energy and new perspectives in MDF’s leadership. Ingrid Plag will continue her work as senior trainer and consultant, while Mike Zuijderduijn will continue to lead MDF’s evaluation services and remain active as a senior evaluator.

We warmly thank them for their commitment, energy, and the many achievements we realised together - and we are delighted that they will remain active within MDF.

MDF’s new Management Team is now formed by Richard Yeboah and Michel Richter. Richard Yeboah, already a long-standing member of the MT, steps into the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), bringing over 20 years of international experience across organisational development, institutional strengthening, development programmes, private sector growth, and multi-country programme management.

Michel Richter, joining as Executive Director, Programmes & Institutional Development (ED-PID), brings extensive expertise in programme implementation, institutional development, and organisational strengthening, ensuring internal coherence and resilience across the MDF network. Together, they bring the vision and energy to guide MDF in pursuit of its mission.

MDF will continue to grow as a globally connected and locally rooted organisation, with offices in the Netherlands, Kenya, Ghana, Benin, DRC, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, supporting partners and clients worldwide in achieving sustainable impact. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with all of you in this new chapter.
