Goleman’s research demonstrated that leaders become more effective if they are able to apply different styles. The research also showed that leaders should have the ability to switch between the styles as the situation dictates. Sounds logical, but depending on your personality, some styles may come more natural to you than others. It starts with knowing your own needs and your preferred leadership style. From there, you can expand your horizon and try out other ways.
