Our Bangladesh team successfully partnered with VEI, in supporting Dhaka WASA (DWASA) in its effort to reduce non-revenue water (NRW)through a new training module on leakage registration and change management, integrated into DWASA’s Smart Water Management Tool (SWMT). This module targets executive engineers, DMA managers, and call center staff, enhancing their capacity for real-time monitoring and data-driven maintenance.
MDF led a structured change management process using Kotter’s 8-step framework to ensure successful adoption. This includes readiness assessments, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and knowledge management. The initiative aims to strengthen institutional performance and service delivery through digital transformation and continuous improvement.
Under a four-year framework contract with Brot für die Welt (Bread for the World), now in its third year, MDF Bangladesh is supporting 22 partner organizations to strengthen their capacities in outcome-and-impact-oriented Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PME). The offered services include - Identifying PME-related consultancy and support needs, advising on funding compliance through enhanced outcome and impact logic, Supporting PME-aligned narrative reporting (interim and final), Facilitating implementation of targeted organizational changes, Helping identify further capacity-building needs, assisting in the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of evaluations and enhancing dialogue between Brot für die Welt and partners on PME alignment. This initiative contributes to building institutional readiness, ensuring funding compliance, and embedding a learning-oriented culture across diverse development actors.
