A new branch office: MDF Pacific - Indonesia
Bart van Halteren has become director of the new branch office MDF Pacific - Indonesia. This branch office started operating from the 1st January 2010 on Bali. It represents the MDF Group in the Indo-Pacific region (Indonesia, East-Timor, Papua New Guinea, the Pacific islands, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines).
MDF Pacific Indonesia has been set up to cater to the increasing demand of our clients in the Indonesia and Pacific region for training and consulting services. Furthermore, we manage four long-term projects strengthening various universities and polytechnics in Eastern Indonesia. We feel that this combination of managing projects ourselves and conducting short-term management training and consulting services gives us the hands-on experience our clients are looking for.

Capacity WORKS
MDF is proud to be certified as one of the few providers of training for consultants and advisers in the understanding and practice of the Capacity WORKS model. From 1 April 2010 onward it will be compulsory to include Capacity WORKS as a criterion in the award of GTZ contracts to the consulting sector. MDF organises open entry courses in English and French. Tailor made courses are also offered in Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese. More information: Capacity WORKS.
Singing a new policy tune
MDF Training & Consultancy, Institute of Social Studies (ISS) and Vice Versa organise a series of debates: "Singing a New Policy Tune: towards (re) foundation of Dutch development policies". This one-year process aims to stimulate debate of Dutch development policies for International Development cooperation in the Netherlands. www.singinganewpolicytune.nl
