During the last decade, Results-Based Management (RBM) has become increasingly important in international cooperation. Nowadays it is “naturally linked” to achieving the SDGs and has a focus on inclusion and gender considerations. There is an increasing need for learning, adapting and develop more effective strategies (adaptive management – shorter learning loops). This needs to be organized. Organisations need to prepare for this. Theories of Change, MEAL frameworks, Stakeholder Analysis, learning agendas and Risk Management are good first steps towards RBM/adaptive management.
