Capturing the quantitative and qualitative results of your programme has become common good. How to design a MEL system that goes beyond tracking activities? Learn how to show results that trigger interest and, possibly, more funding. Make sure your system enables genuine learning by all actors. This course teaches you practical steps to design M&E systems. It shows the latest M&E methods and tools, to capture both your achievements in numbers and the stories behind these.

  • Understand the latest approaches to M&E and how these apply in your own M&E framework
  • Know how to turn M&E into a participatory and systematic learning practice
  • Design and use key performance indicators and progress makers
  • Understand latest qualitative evaluation methodologies and apply these

Your profile

You are a project or programme manager, an M&E officer or advisor. You are responsible for project or programme design, implementation and/or for improving M&E practices in your or other organisations. You have at least one year experience in project planning, management and/or M&E or some practical experience in working with M&E tools and methodologies.

Online Course

Daily start time: 9a.m CEST (tentative). Please convert this time into your local time. You will study half-day (3-4 hours) or full day (6-8 hours) depending on each day's activities and exercises. Total training duration is 35 hours which is a combination of webinars, home-based exercises and guided self-study.
