Support in Organisational Development

We are specialists in the analysis of organisational and institutional processes. We developed a wide range of training and advisory services in the field of institutional development and organisational strengthening. These two concepts are two sides of the same coin and cannot be seen separately. While in organisational strengthening we are mainly looking at the internal change processes within organisations, institutional development is focussed on how organisations change to maintain their relevance and impact in the wider context of society. All our actions in different degrees are aimed at achieving impact and change at this wider institutional level.

We can provide knowledge, skills and expertise if needed but we cannot and will not take over the organisational challenge to create change. With our strong track record in participatory techniques, we facilitate the management of an organisation to mobilise and focus the motivation and energy of the individuals working in it, to gain strength and effectiveness in its operations and it will be able to explore new roads.

Our strong track record in participatory techniques and facilitation has enabled us to developed new tools that optimises the way in which stakeholders interact for organistaional change.

Workshop on participatory organisation diagnosis

We developed a discussion model to involve staff in the diagnosis and analysis of problems or bottlenecks in the functioning of the organisation and to work on a plan for change. The discussion model has proven its effectiveness in gaining the broad organisational support required implementing organisational change.

PODIA - Participatory Organisation Diagnosis

We also developed PODIA, Participative Organisation DIAgnosis. This tool is applied to allow management, staff and possible other parties involved to come to a mutually agreed upon understanding of the problems and ways to solve them.
In a PODIA workshop the management, staff and possible other actors work together following a fixed pattern of discussions At the end of the PODIA workshop they will have formulated an plan of action. A PODIA workshop will take one to three days, depending on the issue to be worked on. Before the actual workshop, the consultant will meet with the management in order to get a clear picture of the situation and to define the point of entry for the workshop.
