Blended learning and beyond
Already for a number of years MDF uses blended learning in the International Advisory Trail. Blended learning is a learning approach where various complementary delivery
modalities are used that combine learning in a face-to-face classroom setting together with distant learning methods. Blended learning allows for a more gradual and natural way to learn, where the intense classroom learning period is preceded by on-line personal training needs assessments and succeeded by a mix of learning options like: practising newly acquired insights and techniques and getting feedback from your mentor, access to learning platforms with reference materials, the exchange of experiences with co-participants and trainers and e-coaching. It reaches you, as participant, the option of learning ‘just-what-you-need’ in the 'way-that- fits-you best' both in time and in place.
In 2011, we are taking blended learning beyond the International Advisory Trail into four of our core courses: Project and Programme Management, Institutional Development and Organisation Strengthening, Local Governance Capacity Development and Managing for Development Results. All the required additional facilities will be available on line via www.e-mdf.nl. We look forward to meeting you in person and in virtual.
