Training of Trainers
Effective training can be a powerful tool to enhance the performance of your team. It can be equally effective in
building capacities in your clients, partner organisations and beneficiaries. Training needs to be carefully designed
and delivered in order to be really effective. Training sessions need to be engaging, relevant, practical and
structured to achieve long-term assimilation of learning.
Participants
You are a professional involved in designing and
conducting training programmes in development programmes and organisations.
Course objectives
This course provides you with theory, skills, tools and practice to develop and implement effective training
programmes. You will learn to be sensitive to issues encountered in the adult learning process and to assess training
needs and set learning objectives. You will learn to use appropriate interactive training methods and materials and to
design and facilitate participatory training sessions.
This course helps you improve your skills in instructional design, facilitation and personal development. You will
participate in exercises on curriculum development, lesson planning, materials development and evaluation of training
programmes. During the course you will be working on the production of a training programme for your own organisation
and on the development of a personal action plan.
