What can you expect from us?
MDF's consultancy services can be divided in four broad categories:
- Project and programme management
- Monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects
- Organisational development
- Institutional and sector development
- Human resources development
For all these four categories MDF has designed a number of consultancy methods and instruments which, in close consultation you, are applied in the consultancy assignments.
Long term and short time assignments
Over the past 15 years MDF has been engaged in the implementation of long-term own managed projects, long-term guidance of change processes, project management units and short-term consultancy assignments. Most long-term assignments are combinations of organisational strengthening and human resources development. They are mostly part of a capacity development process and can include advisory work, coaching of specific staff members, facilitation of strategy development and training courses tailored to the needs of your organisation.
The short-term missions that you can request reflect the scope of MDF expertise in general: training, workshop moderation, stakeholder analysis, organisation development, development and management of human resources, project and programme formulation, monitoring systems design and project, programme and policy evaluations, sectoral and budget support processes. MDF has executed assignments for almost all major international multilateral and bilateral donor agencies and for a considerable number of international and national NGO's.
Our approach to consulting
Most development interventions provoke change processes but changes never take place overnight and without problems or even conflicts. MDF consultants aim to assist in facilitating changes rather than providing blue prints, by developing workable solutions in close consultation with all stakeholders concerned. MDF as an organisation tries to serve as a broker and facilitator and so do the individual MDF consultants.
