About MDF America Latina
MDF has recently opened an office in La Paz, Bolivia, which represents MDF throughout the region of Latin America. Based on the know-how and track-record of MDF International, MDF America Latina offers a special package of training, consultancy and coaching services, based on what we think are the most relevant topics in the region.
Our training principles
MDF America Latina firmly believes that local people understand local situations best. What we offer is our international experience in practically proven application of methods, processes and tools. Especially MDF's organizational toolboxes have found international recognition and use. But a good toolbox does not make a carpenter!

Consultancy
MDF America Latina disposes of a pool of consultants, based in various Latin American countries. All our consultants have international experience and are well versed in the use of the different MDF toolboxes.
Our consulting principles
Organizational change processes are costly, cumbersome and painful. But then you have e new, fresh, reenergized
organization! Or not? Unfortunately, more often than not, people are left tired and frustrated; asking what in the end
has improved after all this effort? World wide, 80% of all organizational change efforts are evaluated as failures. MDF
is very much aware of this, hence we do it differently. Our interventions are crisp and practical (but not quick and
dirty!), with- and not against the client, with clear, measurable goals and a limited, well defined time span. And,
very important, we have fun; you cannot change an organization if you do not have fun doing it!

Pricing
In the initial phase of establishing ourselves in the region, and showing what we are worth, MDF Latin America offers sharply reduced prices:
- Training: 100$ per participant per day
- Consultancy: 200$ per consultant per day
- Coaching: 60$ per hour
Training
Apart from the training modules as outlined in the brochure, MDF America Latina will also offer tailor made training programs. These can consist of specifically designed programs, which will be developed in accordance with the client's needs and priorities, or they can be shortened versions of existing training modules, again as the client wishes.
Our training is not a one-way, technical knowledge transfer session, but:

- Management (including: tools and skills; project management; management for development practitioners; leadership; networking; knowledge creation; result oriented management, process management)
- Project cycle (including: writing winning proposals; comprehensive appraisal of proposals; planning, monitoring and evaluation; indicators)

- Training of trainers
- Group facilitation
- Rapid or participatory rural appraisals (including: appreciative inquiry)
- Lobby and advocacy
Coaching
It is lonely at the top. Therefore, we believe coaching to be the ultimate in consulting. Coaching requires outstanding creativity (lateral thinking), quickness and flexibility of mind, deep listening, trust, experience. A combination that is rarely found.

The coach simultaneously listens, analyzes, develops and weighs options, then guides the coachee to find the solutions him or herself. After the session, the coach is exhausted! (sessions should not last longer than 1,5 hours; remember the law of diminishing returns) We will be frank with you, at the moment MDF America Latina has one staff that is able to pull this off.
