MDF Eastern & Southern Africa (ESA)
Mission and Approach
MDF ESA Training & Consultancy is registered and located in Arusha, Tanzania. It is a branch office of MDF
(Management for Development Foundation), a worldwide operating management training and consultancy bureau.
The MDF Head Office is located in Ede, the Netherlands. MDF wants to contribute to improved management of organisations
responsible for policy formulation, funding or implementation of development interventions by providing practical
training and consultancy services to professionals and organisations in the development sector in Eastern and Southern
Africa.
Our training services include standard training courses, tailor-made courses, facilitation and workshops. With regard to consultancy services MDF East and Southern Africa is active in most phases of the project cycle: identification, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development interventions.
MDF aims to blend modern management theory and tools with practical experience in development projects worldwide. Our approach in training as well as in consultancy is of a practical nature, rich in visual elements and characterised by participation.
Services
We deliver our services to clients belonging to a wide variety of organisations. These include donors, governments, non-government organisations and consulting firms, all involved in development interventions.
MDF trainers/consultants are specialists in their own particular fields and have practical experience in planning,
implementing and evaluating of development projects. The staff is involved both in training and consultancy activities
to ensure that they maintain a close link with day to day practice in the field.
MDF staff are professional people with initiative. They create good and sincere working relations with the participants
in the courses and clients in the field.
However broad the scope of development, the MDF focus remains on aspects related to management. MDF products and services are aimed at strengthening organisations, projects and programmes as well as individuals.
