WHO WE ARE ?

Situated in the heart of Europe, our mission is to contribute to capacity development of the development actors notably working with EU funds. Our services focus on training and consultancy programmes in the context of EU external cooperation on the one hand and tailor made services for a wide variety of development actors working within and outside the scope of the EU external cooperation on the other hand.

EU EXTERNAL COOPERATION PROGRAMMES

MDF Brussels contributes to capacity development through the following EU training & support programmes:

  • Project & Programme Cycle Management (PPCM)
  • Framework contract Commission 2011 - Lot 2 Communication & Training
  • Framework contract Beneficiaries lots 1, 7 & 9
  • ECHO administrative procedures for humanitarian aid
  • Several support programmes to partner country ministries (NAO, ...) in the pipeline

SERVICES IN BELGIUM AND ABROAD

We develop training and consultancy in capacity development of actors in the Belgian development sphere and abroad including services such as:

  • Strategic Steering of Organisations (ID/OS), 
  • Management for Development Results (MfDR), 
  • Project & Programme Management (PCM Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning, Outcome Mapping) 
  • Human Resources Management (HRM).

EU MODULAR PROGRAMME

EDF and EU Budget procedures : We have successfully managed two consecutive training programmes on EDF procedures for the ACP-EU cooperation actors (1998 – 2009) and a similar programe for the ENPI countries on Budget procedures, see MDF experience list and search EDF or ENPI.

Now we continue offering a range of training modules on various subjects related to programme management funded by the EC external aid instruments. Intended for NAO/ representatives beneficiary countries, technical ministries, project staff and consulting organisations implementing projects.


EU OPEN ENTRY COURSES

EDF and EU Budget procedures : We offer several trainings in the field of

public procurement, decentralised operations aimed specifically to persons working as technical assistants, consultancy organisations and beneficiaries of EU external cooperation;
grants for those involved in fundraising, proposal writing and grant management.
