Who we are ?

MDF Brussels is a training and consultancy institute and project coordination office on organisation and management for development. MDF Brussels started as a MDF representation office in 1998 and became a full branch office of the MDF group early 2003. Situated in the heart of Europe, our mission is to bring a better added value to the development actors working with EU funds. At present, our activities are concentrated on two axes: training and consultancy programmes designed and delivered for the EU institutions and tailor made services for a wide variety of development actors working within and outside the scope of the EU development cooperation.

What do we aim at in the EU development cooperation ?

MDF Brussels brings organisation and management expertise through coordination and implementation of EU funded training and support programmes. We manage since 1998 the training programme for the ACP-EU cooperation actors on the optimal application of the European Development Fund (EDF) procedures. In 2007, MDF Brussels took on board a similar programme for the European Neighbourhood and Partnership countries (ENPI) on the Budget procedures.

Furthermore, MDF Brussels is involved in other major training programmes financed through the EU. As such, we provide training expertise for the Aid Delivery Methods (ADM) training programme on PCM, financial & economic analysis, sector approach and budget support. MDF Brussels also acts as facilitator in the Environmental Mainstreaming training programme on the integration of the environmental dimension in the EC development cooperation with third countries.

We use our specialised knowledge and expertise on these topics also to the benefit of non state actors willing to have better access to EU funds, to up-date their knowledge on aid delivery methods or to have a better understanding of the environmental integration in development cooperation.

What is our approach?

We believe it is of utmost importance to provide our clients with the knowledge, the know-how and the ingredients for changing attitudes.

We want them to bring back to their organisation not only tools and improved expertise, but also grown self-confidence and the strong belief that they can make a difference. Exchange and empowerment are at the heart of our approach. In our working relationship with our clients, we focus on values such as integrity, good communication and sincerity.
